CARS
OF THE WORLD
Help
organise the 2010 Cars of the World event.
We
are currently looking for enthusiastic people to assist in the organisation
of our 2010 event. The key roles are outlined below.
Event
Co-ordinator
This
role will be the contact with the display venue and will co-ordinate
the set up and pack up of the venue and oversee the running sheet.
Entertainment
Co-ordinator
This
role will be responsible for putting together a day-long line-up of
entertainemtn activities, including music and children's activities.
Entry
Secretary
The
event has now grown to 300 cars annually. The expectation for 2010
is to build significantly on this number, therefore we are looking
for someone to act as an entry sectetary. The role will be the only
one based at the CBD office of Retina Vic. The timing will be dependant
on the workload, increasing toward the event.
Fashion
Parade Co-ordinator
We
would like to introduce a fashion parade to the 2010 event. This role
will be to work with the Event Director to source companies and people
to establish and co-ordinate this event.
Assembly
Point Co-ordinator
This
role is to source and secure a start venue for the Sunday morning
"Cavalcade" event & to organise the Cavalcade route
to the display venue. You will be assisted on the day by a group of
volunteers, which you will co-ordinate.
Marketing
Co-ordinator
This role will be to create and implement a
marketing campaign to promote the event locally, statewide and nationally.
Interest
in any of these positions should be made to Charles by 25th November
2009. A meeting of the committee will follow shortly thereafter at
which time a full timeline of the organising of the 2010 event will
be discussed and made.

Cars
of the World is organised entirely by volunteers, who stride toward
the ongoing support of vision-impaired people.
