PROPOSED EVENT SCHEDULE

 

The 2008 event will start with the traditional morning cruise to the venue. This year starting from VACC House on St Kilda Road, the Cavalcade to the Vines will tour through part of the Mornington Peninsula, take a quick pit stop, then a further windy drive to the Morning Star Estate.

Those who live closer to the Estate can simply meet others there (giving the early birds the pick of positions!).

Below, please find the proposed schedules for the Cavalcade and the show.

VACC Cavalcade to the Vines

Venue: VACC House, 464 St Kilda Road
7:30am – Car park opens to entrants (breakfast available by local service club)
8:30am – Departure
9:45am – Arrival at break point
10:15am – Departure from break point
10:45-11:15am – Arrival at Morning Star

Cars of the World @ Morning Star Estate

8:00am – Officials briefing
8:30am – Gate 2 opens to display cars
10:00am – Gate 1 opens to public
10:00-11:00am – Frankston RSL Pipes & Drums to perform
10:30am – Gate 2 closes to display cars
10:30am – Gate 1 opens to display cars as well as spectators
11:15am – All display cars to be in position
11:30am – Concours Judging to commence
11:30am-12:15pm – Surprise in stall during this period!
12:30pm – 1st performance, Jack Morris Big Band
1:30pm – Concours and Show judging to conclude
1:30-2:00pm – Judges meet to decide
1:45-2:15pm – 2nd performance, Jack Morris Big Band
2:15pm – Prize presentation – Show n Shine
2:30-3:00pm – 3rd performance, Jack Morris Big Band
3:00pm – Prize presentations, Concours d’Elegance & Art Exhibition winners
