Motor
bikes to have a display area
Some
interest has being shown from the classic motor cycle movement to
display at Ca
rs
of the World.
We
are open to having anything motorised that moves at the show, so are
extremely happy to advise that from 2010 onwards motor cycles will
be allowed to present at the show.
Depending
on entry numbers there may be awards, but noting in this area is planned
as yet.
Entries
can be made by downloading the entry form off our entry details page.

BSA pictured above was taken at the 2004 Goodwood Revival race meeting
in the UK - a full gallery of this event can be found at www.historicracing.com.au

Entries pouring in
Entry
forms were recently sent to all previous entrants in the show. Since
then a steady stream of entries has rolled in, everything from 1912
to 2008 model vehicles. A wonderful cross-section, which is what we
all aim the event to be about.
It
is a gathering of automobiles from different eras, many of which one
would not normally see at the same event - a veteran Rolls-Royce alongside
a late model Mazda MX-5? Yes, you will see that at the 2010 Cars
of the World.
Entry
forms can be downloaded at the entry details page.
Bands
aplenty at the event
We
are very pleased to advise that the Victoria Police Bands will make
its return to Cars of the World this year after last appearing in
2005.
This
time, however, we have secured the Pipe Band. The Victoria Police
Pipe Band will perform both traditional and contemporary music, and
like all other Victoria Police Bands are known for keeping the crowds
entertained.
In
the tradition of a jam-packed entertainment program (not to mention
our entertaining MCs of course!) will be the first appearance at Cars
of the World of Ritchie & the Royals.
Ritchie
& the Royals is a Rock 'n' Roll type band, which many of you who
attend the AOMCs American & Aussie CarShows will be familiar with.

Photo shoot
For
the release of the 2010 event flier we recently held two photo shoots,
one at the magnificent Rochford Wines and the other at an equally
magnificent private Melbourne car collection.
Photos
from these two April days can be found in the photo gallery page.
We
say thank you to all involved in making this happen, from the XR &
FPV Club of Victoria, the Mazda MX-5 Club of Victoria and Alfesti
- Alfa Romeo owners!
Photos:
We would like to thank Rogers family friend, David Thomson for taking
the collection of Rochford Wines photos, including the trio of Mazda
MX-5s, the Alfa Romeo 105 and the two Ford Falcons.
We
also take this opportunity to thank both David Jones and Martin Stubbs.
David for allowing us to photograph his extremely rare and valuable
6C Alfa in his Melbourne factory (pictured above), and to Martin for
taking the photos - more on Martin's photographic works can be found
at www.motormarques.com
